Toshiba 47TL515U

Toshiba 47TL515U At the first receipt of this TV, you need the software upgrade / update process and then do "NOT" the television back to the default "auto save" picture setting "energy" to emphasize on quality. Instead, select the "Standard" picture setting. Toshiba 47TL515U If you do everything, you end up with a very nice picture. And if you are so inclined, the Toshiba has many settings you can adjust to approximate what your idea of perfection may be the picture. Personally I'd rather spend my time on other things, but the potential to do this is readily available.

This is HOT Product and Best-Selling Toshiba 47TL515U 47-Inch tend to SELL OUT VERY FAST!!
If this is a MUST HAVE product, be sure to order now to avoid disappointment
Toshiba 47TL515U The Toshiba TV is definitely more than meets my needs of watching the occasional over-the-air TV program and then on-demand streaming content from the Internet via WiFi. I also had the opportunity to try out the passive 3D effect / experience of the set and it is very realistic, the images seem to pop right off the screen - works fine for me.

Sound quality - although acceptable for built-in TV speakers - can certainly be improved, and I did this by adding a soundbar system with wireless subwoofer for the set (Panasonic SC-HTB520 2.1-channel speaker SoundBar with Wireless Kelton Subwoofer, see my review ). The combination works like a charm, a major upgrade of the sound! And everything can be controlled with a single remote control Toshiba.

Toshiba 47TL515U
I give this a Toshiba TV rating of "4" out of "5" stars in the light of these things I felt could be improved:

1) Allow the performance could be better. I would prefer a state with more metal parts and less plastic (see Panasonic TVs), which attaches to the underside / base of the LCD screen - a better weight-bearing capabilities and less power (again see Panasonic) - instead of a standard that directly attaches to the back of the LCD. As one of the screws does not come easy, you have difficulty removing the stand if you ever want to wall mount the TV in the future.

2) The design / layout of the Toshiba remote control is not optimized. Of the two remotes that I use regularly (Toshiba and Panasonic), I love the Panasonic remote much better: There are fewer buttons in total and they are bigger, more colorful and easier to operate, while the Toshiba remote control for the most part has smaller , monotone black buttons making it difficult to find the desired function. In short, it takes longer to properly oriented with the Toshiba remote, but it's not an insurmountable problem and you'll get used to it.

3) Changing channels is a bit too slow for my taste (as another reviewer has already mentioned). They do all switch, but the delay is longer than expected or needed. The initial start-up of the set of a cold start in about 27 seconds or so on the long side. Toshiba 47TL515U You may wonder if something is happening at this time: nothing but a "soft click" is heard after hitting the "power button" on the remote and then a "small" green light - the only sign of life - begins flashing after about 15 seconds have elapsed. These are actually small inconveniences - no "deal breakers".

4) The Internet apps with the Net TV feature should be extended. The selection so far is "very limited", but this does not bother me, because I have other streaming devices (Blu-ray player, etc.) available for additional choices. Toshiba 47TL515U This is something that Toshiba and hopefully - improve in the near future.
